A Few Tips for School:

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water. Germs are passed directly and indirectly and hands are the biggest source of contamination.
  • If you are sneezing or coughing, use tissues. They cut down on the airborne germ contamination. Throw used tissues away and again—wash your hands!!
  • If a child has been vomiting or having diarrhea all night, keep them home; do not send them to school to spread the stomach virus.
  • If your child has been running a fever of 100-101 or higher, do not send them to school. Keep them home where they can rest comfortably.

Cold Weather Information:

Dress appropriately for the weather. Cold weather clothing should include-long pants, a sweater or sweatshirt, socks and full shoes (not sandals!!) a coat, gloves and some type of head gear to cover the ears. Frostbite can happen quickly when the temperatures drop.
